Port Blair, July 27: The Election Commission will publish the final electoral rolls of the Port Blair Municipal Council on July 31, 2015. The PBMC had earlier published the draft electoral roll on June 6 inviting suggestions and objections up to 30/6/2015. On receiving a large number of suggestions and objections owing to the new ward boundary and subsequent bifurcation, and also keeping in view the public demand, the Election Commission had extended the time period for lodging suggestions and objections for a further ten days, i.e. up to 10/7/2015. The claims and objections received were disposed of with a public appearance of claimants and the Election Commission has extended the date of final publication of electoral rolls by three more days.
