Port Blair, July 24: The Special Branch (CID) and central Crime Station conducted a series of raids in the Municipal area from July 15-22, 2015 against the bootlegging menace and arrested 22 bootleggers under Excise Regulation. 157 bottles of 750 ml IMFL were recovered and seized from the arrested persons.
The general public have been requested to inform about any credible information pertaining to illegal sale or possession of liquor/drugs or any other illegal activity on the following telephones numbers – 232586, 233307, 242198, 9434289985 &100. The identity of the informer will be kept secret, the Superintendent of Police (CID) said in a release.
