Port Blair, July 24: The Central Control Room of Electricity department has been established and became operational in premises of Headquarter Division Building Complex, Mohanpura w.e.f 07.06.2015 as per the directions of Lt. Governor, A&N Islands. The establishment of 24 x 7 Central Control Room will fulfil the long-felt demand of general public and media.
The general public can lodge their complaints and enquire about the power outages by dialing 235250 and 200515 at any hour of the day. Information, if not readily available will be collected and informed immediately to the caller.
The general public have been advised to take advantage of this Central Control Room instead of making calls to the Power Houses and Sub-Stations regarding any enquiry about power outages. As in the event of any power outages, the Engineers and staff at Power Houses/Sub-Stations get busy in reviving the power supply and attending to telephone calls delays the process of revival of power supply.
Both the telephone numbers aren’t working.The Central Control Room of Electricity department is existing only in letter and not in spirit…
There Is No Electricity from Last 3-4 Hours!!! And no one is picking up our calls, This things happens Daily!!
Electricity used to be cut during the day, so it was fine, but now it has started getting cut even at night, that too for hours. If we call on the land line number of the department, they do not receive the call. In the department. Do the staff go to quarrel, is the District Magistrate’s Cup not visible to the public? Do not make the public cry too much because of the public being silent. The day the public’s ding got worse then it would be very bad.
People of portblair should get together and strike on electricity department for Power cut….. because there no reasons for power cut only scam done by electricity department……and now a days exam seasons r going on student will suffer a lot……and who is responsible for all this should be beaten by public…….there should be a strict action taken …..chutiya Andaman govt
What the hell at night time around full night no power supply..how the electricity department works can’t understand and the bills are coming more then 1000rs
