Port Blair, July 24: A number of registered cultural organizations in the islands have contributed immensely for the promotion of art and culture in their own way. To provide such organization an opportunity to showcase their talent, the Department of Art & Culture, has undertaken a new initiative to provide logistic support to registered socio –cultural organizations to present cultural programmes based on classical, semi classical and folk themes.
Accordingly, the Department of Art & Culture, A&N Administration will organize a cultural evening in collaboration with Mukta Dhara, a cultural organization of the islands on July 25 at 6 pm at the auditorium of Anthropological Survey of India. Folk Songs, dances and Ventriloquism –programme of talking doll will be presented on the occasion. All are invited to attend the programme, a release says.
