Port Blair, July 03: Shri Ram Naik, the Governor of Uttar Pradesh is scheduled to arrive at Port Blair on 04.07.2015 on a two-day visit to the Islands.
The itinerary of the Governor of UP during his stay in the Islands includes meeting with Lt. Governor, A&N Islands at Raj Niwas, laying of wreath at Martyrs’ Column followed by foundation laying ceremony for the installation of Veer Savarkar Plaque at the National Memorial Cellular Jail complex on 04.07.2015 at 11 am. The other programmes include attending function to be held in connection with the death anniversary of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee at Saraswati Shishu Mandir Prothrapur, meeting with Uttar Pradesh Samaj Members and Members of Maharashtra Mandal.
The Governor of UP is also scheduled to visit places of historical importance and tourist interest in and around the town.
On completion of visit, the Governor of UP will leave for mainland on 06.07.2015.
