Port Blair, June 12: The State Legal Services Authority in association with the District Legal Services Authority, A &N Islands, will hold a National Lok Adalat in the Alternative Disputes Resolution Centre – Prayas from 9 am on June 13, 2015. The Judge, Calcutta High Court and Executive Chairman, State Legal Services Authority, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Justice Soumitra Pal will preside of the Bench of the Lok Adalat alongwith other members.
About 50 motor accident claim cases in the territorial jurisdiction of Port Blair and Ferrargunj Tehsils pending in the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal at Port Blair will be placed before the Lok Adalat for disposal after consensual settlement between the parties, a release says.
