Port Blair, Apr 16: FORTO-Acronym for Federation Of Responsible Tour Operators, a body of tour operators of Andaman & Nicobar Islands have come forward to provide free coach service from Port Blair town to Corbyn’s Cove for the benefit of people wanting to witness the Beach Festival at Corbyn’s Cove on 20th 21st and 22nd April 2012 and joined hands with the Directorate of Tourism in smooth organizing of the first ever Beach Festival in Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
According to a letter addressed to the Director (Tourism) by Sri. R. Rathnam, President FORTO, informed that free shuttle service would be offered to general public during the festival on all the three days. There will be two buses, one from Goalghar Petrol Bunk and another from Bhatu Basti Petrol Bunk to Corbyn’s Cove making shuttle services in the evening. There will be coordinators for the services in all these places and also in Corbyn’s Cove parking area.
