Port Blair, June 10: The Chairperson, Port Blair Municipal Council, Shri M. Arumugam, Councilor, ward no.17, Shri J. Rajendran along with the Secretary, PBMC, and officials of the Council today inspected Housing Project at Brookshabad. During the inspection, it has been noticed that the construction work of quarters for safai karamacharies at Brookshabad in the ground floor is almost in the finishing stage.
The Chairperson directed the Engineers to complete the project in a time bound manner. He also asked them to take up the work of plumbing, painting and electric fitting simultaneously so that soon after completion of ground floor, the same can be allotted to the needy persons. It has been observed during inspection that there is lack of maintenance of quarters. The Chairperson also asked the officials to take periodically maintenance of existing quarters, a PBMC communication said.
