Port Blair, May 12: The BMS, A&N State Unit alongwith its affiliated Sanghs organized a Public Meeting at Tiranga Park on last Saturday evening in support of issues and problems of the Organized and Unorganized Sectors Workers, including Government Employees, of A&N Islands under the Chairmanship of Shri. H.N.Pandey, BMS Ex- State Vice President, A&N Islands.
Addressing the large gatherings, Smti.Geeta Devi, President, A&N Anganwadi Karmachari Sangh, Shri. Sunil Pradhan, General Secretary, Kodiyaghat Aquaculture Karmachari Sangh, Shri. N. Surendran Pillai, BMS State Vice President, A&N Islands, Shri. Liju Thankachan, Working President, Seafarers Confederation of India, Port Blair Branch, Shri. Rakesh B. Chander, General Secretary, Suryachakra Power Corporation Karmachari Union, Bambooflat, Smti. Rebecca, President, Golden Fish Self Help Group, Kamrajnagar, Shri. Ashok Kumar, BMS State General Secretary, A&N Islands, Shri.M. Veeranna, BMS State Organizing Secretary, A&N Islands and Shri. H.N. Pandey, BMS Ex- State Vice President, A&N Islands have highlighted the problems and other issues pertaining to the members of their Sanghs, in particular and of various departments, in general and requested the A&N Administration to take necessary steps to solve their grievances soon.
The meeting ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Shri.M. Veeranna, BMS State Organizing Secretary, A&N Islands. A large number of workers/people attended the meeting.
