Port Blair, May 10: The member of the Jama Masjid Committee have deeply mourned the sad and untimely demise of Janab Hafiz Muhammed Moosa Pesh Imam of Jama Masjid Aberdeen Bazaar, who expired on Sunday the 10th May 2015 at his native place Shahgunj, Dist Jaunpur, UP at the age of 76 yrs.
Janab Hafiz Muhammed Moosa joined as Naib Imam on 23 Dec 1963 and promoted as Pesh Imam in 1965.
He served as Pesh Imam of Jama Masjid continuously for 51 yrs. He was very pious person, noble, god fearing and well respected amongst Muslim and other communities of these Islands. The members pray to Almighty to grant him eternal peace and highest place in Jannat and give courage to his family members for bearing such an irreparable loss, a release from President of Jama Masjid, Aberdeen Bazar, Port Blair said here today.
