Port Blair, May 07: The PCC President Kuldeep Rai Sharma while appreciating the efforts of the Lt Governor for bringing many surprising developments in these islands for the development of the islands and as well as for the benefit of the islanders has requested him to consider reservation of some quota for the senior citizens in the recently introduced low fare chartered flights.
Kuldeep has stated that after introduction of this chartered flight by the Lt Governor, financially backward class people of these islands have been greatly benefitted . In this context, Kuldeep has then submitted that the elderly persons, to get tickets, have to wait in a long queue while most of them, due to old age and several physical disorders have become weak and find very difficult to stand for a long time and requested the PCC President to forward their difficulties to the Lt Governor and asked for reservation of quota for them in these flights.
Batting for the elderly persons, Kuldeep has also submitted that these elderly persons, who have contributed for the developments of these islands throughout their lives, may surely ask for such help from the Administrator and hence requested for consideration of the Lt Governor to this effect so that without waiting for their turn in a long queue, may avail their tickets easily as per allotted quota for them.
