Port Blair, Apr 24: The President, Association of Tour Operators (ATO), Shri M. Vinod, in a letter addressed to the Chairman, Travel Agent Association of India (TAAI), Southern Region, Shri V.K.T Balan, a copy of which has been released to the press, has drawn his attention to the introduction of flight service between Vizag and Port Blair and requested TAAI to communicate the introduction of this new flight service to all TAAI Members who are based at Vishakhapatnam, Hyderabad and other parts of Andhra Pradesh.
The ATO President, in his letter mentioned that under the dynamic leadership of the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands, Lt. Gen A.K. Singh (Retd.), the flight service from Vizag to Port Blair and vice versa has become a reality from Apr 9, 2015 onwards. With the introduction of this flight a lot of tourist who were willing to visit Andaman but were not able to do so due to shortage of time and the distance of journey, can now travel easily to the emerald Islands, he said.
This flight operates twice a week from New Delhi to Vishakhapatnam and from there to Port Blair and return via the same route.
The ATO President has urged TAAI for cooperation in promoting and developing the Vizag-Port Blair sector.
