Port Blair, Apr 24: The CID & CCS team of Andaman and Nicobar Police today raided and recovered 221 bags of Trochus and 17 bags of Sea cucumber from a house at Dugnabad. According to reports as the house is an ancestral disputed property of a family, it is yet not clear, who owns the house.
According to reports after developing intelligence the team raided the house at around 8.00 am.
After recovery of this huge quantity of banned items the recovered materials and the case has been handed over to the Forest Department.
However, in this case even after intimation the Forest Department came late and lack of coordination between Forest and Police department could be seen clearly.
