Port Blair, Apr 16: Andaman Science Association, Port Blair is association with ICAR-Central Island Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-CIARI), Port Blair, I.C.A.R., New Delhi, Bioversity International, PPV&FRA, New Delhi and Society for Plant Research, India will be conducting National Seminar on “Harmonizing Biodiversity and Climate Change : Challenges and Opportunities” from 17th to 19th April, 2015 at its Garacharma Research Complex.
Shri G.N. Sinha, IFS, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Wild Life), Department of Environment and Forest, Andaman & Nicobar Administration will be Chief guest and Dr. Narendra Pratap Singh, Director, ICAR-CCARI, Goa, Dr. Abraham Varghese, Director, ICAR-NBAII, Bengaluru, Dr. N.P. Singh, Director, ICAR-IIPR, Kanpur, Dr. S.K. Bhatnagar, Dean & Registrar, SVPUAT, Meerut, will be the guest of honour and Dr. S. Dam Roy, Director, ICAR-CIARI will preside over the function
The seminar will be inaugurated at 10.00 A.M. in the conference hall of ICAR-CIARI on 17th April, 2015, which is based on two themes i.e. Biodiversity and Climate Change with eight sessions.
Eight Directors of the National Institutes along with forty six delegates from mainland will be participating in the National Seminar. Beside Directors of Line Departments and delegates of research fraternity of A & N Islands will be participating in the seminar.
