Port Blair, Apr 14: On the occasion of the birth anniversary celebration of Babasaheb Dr BR Ambedkar at Gandhi Bhavan on 14th April, the Vice President Haji Hamid Ali garlanded the portrait of Babasaheb followed by floral tribute by other senior leaders and supporters of Pradesh Congress Party.
Briefing about the life and contributions of Ambedkar to the Nation and Indian Constitution, Hamid said that he was an apostle of peace and philanthropist for the downtrodden.
