Port Blair, Apr 09: The PCC President Kuldeep Rai Sharma recording his own gratitude and also of the gratitude of the Pradesh Congress Committee for introducing to and fro flight services on Delhi-Vishakhapatnam-Port Blair sector from to day, has written a letter to the Lt Governor wherein he has stated that this flight was a long pending demand of the Congress Party for which Kuldeep has requested to the then Lt Governor and to concern Ministry through letters and personal meeting and also approached to the present Administrator after his taking over charges as Lt Governor of these islands.
He has thanked the Lt Govenor who has fulfilled the long pending demand of the general public, especially of the Telegu community by introducing this flight services and hoped that demand of the party on opening of Central University will also be fulfilled for the benefit of the islanders as has been done in the case of opening of another Degree College, increasing height of Dhannikhari dam and initiative taken for opening of Medical college and many more such developments brought by the Administrator for the benefit of the islanders for which this party has time and again sent requests to him
