Port Blair, Apr 07: ‘Kala Kendra’ – A &N Islands Society for Promotion of Art & Culture under Department of Art & Culture, A&N Administration proposes to organize month long production oriented workshops in Art, Classical Dance and Music from 17th April to 16th May 2015 for the age group 10-16 years. Art Workshop will include workshop on Painting and Sculpture. Art Workshop will be held in Art Gallery & Studio, which is being set up in Gandhi Park for three days a week whereas Classical Dance (Kathak) and Classical Music Workshop (Hindustani Vocal) will be held in Andaman Club, Port Blair.
Timings for each class will be from 3 p.m to 4.30 p.m with an intake of 15 participants in each for Painting & Sculpture and 25 participants for Dance and Music Classes. All the workshops will culminate with production of the workshop. An amount of Rs 500/-as fees would require to be paid by each of the interested participants.
