Port Blair, Mar 24: Mr. Vishal Jolly, State President, BJP today met Mr. Anand Kumar, Chairman cum Managing Director of National Highways Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL) at Port Blair and discussed about the Bridge/Tunnel between Bambooflat and Chatham.
The CMD of NHIDCL was on a two-day visit to these Islands to discuss about the project with officials of A & N Administration. The Chief Secretary, Mr. Anand Prakash and Chief Engineer, APWD, Mr. P K Singh were also present in the meeting.
“The Terms of Reference (TOR) for conducting the technical study was handed over to Mr. P K Singh, Chief Engineer, APWD by Mr. Anand Kumar in the presence of the Chief Secretary,” Mr. Vishal Jolly informed.
The TOR will be sent to NHIDCL by the Administration after approval. “The Chairman of NHIDCL is very positive and optimistic about the project,” Mr. Vishal Jolly said.
Mr. Vishal Jolly also informed that he had taken up the matter of the two bridges on Andaman Trunk Road and requested the Ministry to expedite the projects.
Mr. Vishal Jolly had visited New Delhi to attend a Party Convention on Developmental Projects in the Union Territories, in which major projects were discussed.
