Mayabunder, Mar 13: One day Dharna was organized at Mayabunder Bazar by the Communist Party of India (Marxist) North and Middle Andaman Zone Committee, Billiground on 13th March 2015 from 0900 am to 4 pm followed by a public meeting under the leadership of Advocate Tapan Bepari, State Secretary Member.
He highlighted the various problems being faced by the people of Andaman and Nicobar Islands especially Middle & North Andaman which includes stop influx of population from mainland, District & Sessions Court at Mayabunder, Motor Vehicle Insurance Office at Mayabunder, solving of water problem of Mayabunder and its nearby areas due to the failure of proper management by the NACD, APWD, Mayabunder as sufficient peripherals source of water is available in and around Mayabunder, tribal facilities to Ranchi People, Scheduled Caste facilities to Bengalis & Other communities, distribution of LPG on scheduled dates, fixing of minimum wages as Rs.500/- per day for DRM & other private workers, regularization of DRM as well as ad-hoc & contract workers serving in all the departments continuously for long period, reducing prize of essential commodities etc.
