Port Blair, Mar 17: The A & N State Coop. Bank has inaugurated its 34th Branch at Junglighat at 4.00 pm on 16th March, 2015. Shri. Saroop Lall, Founder Member & Ex-Chairman of the Bank
inaugurated the new branch at Junglighat in presence of Shri. Bhagat Singh, Chairman. The programme was also attended by Shri. Ghyas Meshack, Director, Shri. Bashir Ahmed, Director, Smt. A Varalaxmi, Director, Shri. Ravinder Rao, Managing Director, ANStCB, SHGs members, Bank officials and a large gathering of local people of the area.
At the Outset, Shri. Ravinder Rao, Managing Director of the Bank welcomed the Chief Guest, other dignitaries and guest present in the programme. He has highlighted the various benefits of the bank to the general public including RUPAY Debit cards, RTGS/NEFT facility and urged all the local residents to come forward and avail banking services with Junglighat branch. He has also highlighted that this 34th bank branch at Junglighat is a fully fledged CBS branch and shall cater all the financial needs of the people of the area. He also informed that the transactional hours of Junglighat branch will be from 11.00 am to 6.00 pm, which will be highly beneficial for the general public and Govt. servants to avail banking services after office hours.
Shri. Bhagat Singh, Chairman of the bank in his keynote address appreciated the initiatives of management of the bank under Shri. Saroop Lall, Ex-Chairman in making A & N State Coop. Bank a true leader in providing financial literacy to the customers. He further urged all the general public of the area to join hands with the bank by opening of bank accounts.
Shri. Saroop Lall inaugurated the 34th branch premises of Junglighat by cutting ribbon followed by unveiling of the plaque board. In his address, he has appreciated the initiatives of the management & staffs of the bank in devising an Evening branch at Junglighat. He also urged the people to come forward and avail banking services with the bank.
The Chief Guest has also handed over the Savings A/c Passbook to the first account holder of the new branch.
The programme ended with vote of thanks proposed by Shri. Thomas Daniel, General Manager (Banking) of the bank.
