Port Blair, Feb 19: The Executive Director, Syndicate Bank, Mr T. K. Srivastava who is on a visit to the islands to review the work of the bank as well as to attend the meeting on Rajya Sabha Parliamentary Committee on government assurances today said that the Syndicate Bank will soon adopt some school or college building blocks and will take care of the toilets etc and will also adopt a game like cycling etc. for which the bank will do the funding and will look into its progress.
Addressing a press conference at Syndicate bank, Mohanpura at 6.00pm today, Mr Srivastava said that he met the Lt Governor yesterday where they had a discussion on the activities of bank, business etc. . He said that during the meeting Lt Governor had asked him to contribute as part of Corporate Social Responsibility, Mr Srivastava said.
Further he also said that by March end Syndicate bank will launch a branch at Neil Island for which they have got all the approval and soon they will also open a branch at Havlock Island too.
Later in conference, he said that Syndicate bank is a small bank for small people, which has 3500 branches across the country and eleven branches in these Islands. He also mentioned about some of the new products of the bank like Synd SmartGen, Synd SmartSHE, Synd JuniorMillionaire. He also explained about MSME products the bank has designed for all business segments like Synd Hotel, SyndJweller, SyndTransport.
