Port Blair, Feb 08: Season Four of the SNN Gregory Cup cricket tournament got underway at the ABC Colony, Doodh Line at Shadipur, Port Blair on Sunday, the 8th Feb. 2015. The State President of the BJP, Shri Vishal Jolly was the chief guest on this occasion. He inaugurated the tourney ceremonially by tossing the coin in the presence of the party’s State General Secretary, Shri Deepak Kumar Jha, National Council Member, Shri R. Mohan, City President, A. Sanmugam and a large gathering of party workers. South Point Eleven won the inaugural 12-12 overs match played against the M/s Mubarak Stores Eleven, today.
Altogether 20 teams from South Andaman are participating in the tournament scheduled to continue for the next ten days. A large gathering of spectators witnessed the opening match. The organizer of the program, Shri K. Paramasivam, State Secretary, BJP has thanked one and all for extending enthusiastic support towards the event.
