Port Blair, Feb 06: The Tourism Department of A&N Administration is organizing “Flea Market” at Marina Park on 07th February, 2015, from 4 pm to 10 pm by the support of Individuals, Cultural Associations, Self help groups, NGOs etc. The main objective for setting up such “Flea Market” in the island is to acquaint tourists with the local culture, cuisine, art & handicrafts etc and also to encourage the participation of the local towards promotion of tourism in the Island.
The department has allotted 35 stalls to various agencies / individuals including Ranchi & Karen Association. Enough arrangements have also been done at the venue for entertainment of public and tourists. Entry to the venue is free. All tour operators/travel agents/ hotel owner are requested to inform the tourists about this unique event.
