Diglipur, Feb 05: A proposal for instant relief of Rs 1 lakh from LG relief fund and Rs. 3 lakh from Forest Department for the recent 12 year old crocodile victim of Radhanagar Panchayat of Diglipur has been submitted for clearance. The 12 year old girl was killed by a crocodile when she was getting inside a dinghy to reach school. Earlier crocodile victim used to get Rs.1,00,000 which has now been increased to Rs. 3,00,000.
But the major questions remain here is whether this amount ever fill the gap of the girl for their parents. How difficult it is for the administration to ensure safety of public from frequent crocodile attacks in Andaman s?
