Port Blair, Feb 04: A team of puppetry artistes have been deputed to Andaman and Nicobar Islands by the Song & Drama Division of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Kolkata for creation of awareness on the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao scheme.
The team would give over 40 performances from 9th to 28th of this month, coordinated by the Programme Officer of the Integrated Child Development Scheme, Andaman and Nicobar Administration. The Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao scheme is aimed at rebalancing the skewed sex ratio in the country which is adverse to girl children. (PIB)
