Port Blair, Jan 30: In yet another initiative towards welfare of local populace, Headquarters Coast Guard Region (A&N) in association with GB Pant Hospital, Port Blair organised free medical check-up camp at Namuna Ghar, Dundus Point on 30 Jan 15. A team of 06 doctors including three specialists in Pediatric, Gynaec and Medicines from GB Pant Hospital took part in the medical camp. Facilities extended during the camp include check up of vital parameters, general hematology, specific blood/urine tests, general health check-up and specialist opinion in Gynaec and Pediatric.
Large number of residents of the Namuna Ghar and surrounding areas were benefited by the medical camp. During the camp health check up of the students of Govt Secondary School, Namuna Ghar was also undertaken. Coast Guard also issued medicines to the patients as prescribed by the doctors. The phanchyat thanked Indian Coast Guard for organising the medical camp in Namuna Ghar as part of events planned for CG Day 2015. A communiqué received from PRO Coast Guard.
