Port Blair, Jan 28: The Human Rights Organisation today demanded creation of post of Psychologists and Counselors in various schools and departments.
In a letter addressed to the Lt. Governor the President of HRO, Mr. K Karunanithi today said that incidents of sexual harassment, murder, suicide, depression, kidnapping etc are reported now and then in media.
He said that this happens because of loss in self confidence and lack of courage to face family & social problems in this society.
“At present to get things sorted out counseling is required with good psychologist/Counselor who can boost the mental strength of such girls & boys in school & colleges,” he said.
Mr. Karunanithi requested the Lt. Governor to give necessary directions to the concerned departments to create post of psychologist/Counselor.
