Port Blair, Dec 29: The Chief General Manager, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, Mr R. N. Jha, ITS today said that some miscreants have once again cut the BSNL’s Optical Fiber Cable, which connect North and Middle Andaman with Port Blair.
“The OFC cable was cut on Saturday and this time it was cut at Kishorinagar, Diglipur. As the miscreants are cutting it again and again it is getting very difficult for us to maintain it,” the CGM added.
The CGM said that earlier the OFC was cut on 6th December and after repair again on 10 December miscreants had intentionally cut the OFC at Baratang region.
“Police couldn’t catch the miscreant yet and it is becoming difficult for us to maintain the OFC. Anyhow we have sent experts to repair it again,” he said.
Taking serious note of such incident the CGM said that now such sabotage is beyond tolerance.
“Now it is beyond tolerance and the Police should catch hold of such miscreants as early as possible,” Mr Jha added.
