Port Blair, Dec 16: The PCC President Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Lt Governor for sending of one Khadim Ul Hujjaj with the group proceeding for Haj. In his letter Kuldeep has stated that from all States of India one Khadim Ul hujjaj are being sent from the respective State Government who assists and takes care of the person proceeding for Haj at Mecca.
“But in Andaman and Nicobar such arrangement does not exist. Last year, a person out of the group sent for Haj from Andaman was missing for many days. Though he was later traced out but in case one Khadim Ul Hujjaj was with the group, such strenuous situation could have been avoided,” Kuldeep said in his letter.
Hence Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Lt Governor to consider one Khadim Ul Hujjaj from AN Administration for the welfare and well care of the people of these islands proceeding to Haj pilgrimage. Lakshadweep Administration is also considering such arrangement, Kuldeep has added in his letter of request.
