Port Blair, Dec 10: Rajiv Gandhi Cooperative Training College, Teylorabad has today introduced a new course of Junior diploma course in Cooperative Management for undergraduates.
In his inaugural speech Kuldeep has stated that a cooperative is a business association owned and operated by a group of persons for their combined (joint) profit. Cooperatives are defined as independent associations of people united willingly to meet their general economic, social, and cultural needs and ambitions through jointly owned and democratically controlled enterprises. A cooperative is a lawful entity owned and democratically controlled by its associates.
Members often have a close organization with the project as producers or consumers of its products or services, or as its employees, and the students will get extensive knowledge on all these matters and points after going through the Junior Diploma course in Cooperative Management. The aspirants will also learn that the most important resource in a cooperative is people. The success of all phases of the business depends on competent personnel working together smoothly and efficiently. He has also congratulated the students who have valued the importance of cooperative sector having been known that there is very little chance of jobs in government or other private organizations and want to settle themselves through cooperative movement.
At the outset the faculty Amees Khalique has welcomed the gatherings and briefed about the Rajiv Gandhi Coop. Training college and its activities. Introduction of this course is a brain child of its Chairman, Kuldeep Rai Sharma who wanted that the students who undergraduates but have close feelings for cooperative movement may get good foundation by getting trained in this course, Khalique added.
Directors Swaran Singh, Rizwan and General Secretary Anant Rao have also addressed the students and inspired them to work for the betterment of the Cooperative Movement. Ms Anamika Mondal has conducted the programme.
The Chairman has also attended the two years completion programme of Beautician course being run by the ANSCU at its premises at Teylorabad when the students have lauded the efforts of the Chairman and its team to allow them to have the course for a very little fee. Some of them have stated that they have already started earning money from the programmes of their neighborhood through bridal makeup and mehendi etc.
