Port Blair, Dec 07: The Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman Ms Tanvi Garg, IAS assisted by the Assistant Commissioner (SA), Assistant Commissioner (S) and Revenue field functionaries conducted revenue camp court under the campaign “Zila Prashasan Aapke Dwar” at Panchayat Community Hall at Ferrar Gunj under Ferrar Gunj Tehsil on 05/12/2014 wherein all the local representatives of all line departments alongwith the PRI members were present.
During the proceedings, provisions of “Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister to make one village of the constituency a Model village were highlighted to the villagers present accordingly informed about the various activities to be carried out as the village has been opted by the Hon’ble MP under the Yojana further the responsibility of the villagers was also discussed in making their village as a Model village.
Further interaction session with the General Public was also held whereby various demands and issues of the villagers were also heard patiently and on the spot decisions was taken accordingly directions were issued to concerned Departments to address the grievances on a time bound manner.
After the revenue camp court a field visit was also conducted by the Deputy Commissioner (SA) to monitor the developmental activities. She visited the PHC, Ferrar Gunj and CHC, Bamboofat were she interacted with the Medical officer and staff subsequently took a round to ascertain all the utilities were put in place further noted their demands for improving the facilities to be provided to the villagers.
She also visited the site made available for dumping of solid waste under Shorepoint Panchayat and took note of the dumping of garbage on the roadside at Anda beda. Accordingly, directions are being issued to respective gram panchayats to make proper disposal of the collected garbage from the respective areas.
Further the newly constructed Patwarkhana at Bambooflat was also visited directed to make the patwarkhana operational within a week time to facilitate the residents.
