Port Blair, Dec 04: Indian Naval Sailing Vessel Mhadei, an ocean going sailing yatch, entered Port Blair on 03 Dec 14 to participate in the ongoing Navy Week Celebrations. The Yatch will be open to visitors on 07 Dec 14. Mhadei has traversed a distance of 98,000 Nautical Miles since induction in 2009. The Yatch has created a niche for herself amongst the sailing community, the world over and has many firsts to her credit, including two solo circum navigations of the globe. A proposal to undertake the third voyage with all women crew is also under consideration.
In addition, the Naval Museum Samudrika at Port Blair will be open free for visitors on 07 Dec 14 from 10000hrs to 1500hrs. All are requested to visit.
