Port Blair, Dec 03: In a shocking development Ganja has been found from the possession of two students of Class VIII of Carmel School on Tuesday.
According to reports during class, one of the teachers of Carmel School found one student, Master Pritush Xalxo (name changed), lost in his own world and his eyes were red. In doubt he checked the pockets of the student and found Ganja, kept inside the handkerchief.
Soon the matter was reported to the Principal and bags of all the students of Class VIII were thoroughly checked by the Physical Education Teacher of the School, Mr. Pramod and while checking Ganja was found from the bag of another student, Akram (name changed), of the same class. The Physical Education Teacher also found Rs. 1000 note from the bag of Master Pritush Xalxo.
All the teachers and staffs of the school are tight lipped in this issue while the Principal of the School could not be reached today for a comment. Andaman Sheekha will continue the investigation to reach to the bottom of the story.
Meanwhile, highly placed sources told Andaman Sheekha that later it was found after inquiry that a senior student of the same school had supplied Ganja to these students.
It has been learnt that father of one of these two students, working in Police Department, was called in the school yesterday and the matter was reported to him.
This is a serious issue and it seems that some Drug Peddlers are now targeting innocent students of various schools and making them drug addict. A thorough inquiry must be conducted to reach to the actual ganja suppliers and counseling of these minor students, who have fallen victim of the ganja nexus.
