Port Blair, Nov 19: A fire was reported from the cylinder head of 5 MW Engine of Suryachakra yesterday evening. The engine reportedly suffered a breakdown. Cause of the Fire is still not known but it is believed that overheating could be the cause. The repair work began this morning by experts.
The staffs present on duty, showed courage and stopped the engine immediately. They sprayed fire extinguishers and controlled the fire.
