Port Blair, Nov 18: A 1.5 meter crocodile was sighted in sea near Corbyn’s Cove beach today at 3 PM. According to reports more than 100 tourists were present in the beach at that time.
Immediately a team of Police Marine Force, Forest, Wildlife reached the spot but much before that local residents present on the beach along with PBMC workers vacated the beach and asked public to remain away from sea.
According to eyewitnesses, the crocodile came very close to the seashore crossing the net, fixed by the Forest department for the safety of public.
“The net might have got damaged in the recent cyclone Hud Hud,” a staff of Wildlife Division told Andaman Sheekha today.
