Port Blair, Nov 16: The foundation day of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan observed on 14th of November.
The Nehru Yuva Kendra, Port Blair has celebrated the “Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan Foundation Day” at Hope Town, on 14th November 2014 with the collaboration of APJ Abdul Kalam Youth Club, Hope Town. Essay Competition, Quiz Competition, Musical Chair, Painting Competition, Rangoli Competition, Volley Ball and Cricket Tournament were conducted at APJ Abdul Kalam Youth Club, Hope Town.
Miss Mariyam Bibi, Zilla Parishad Adhyaksha, South Andaman was the Chief Guest on the occasion and Smti Raseeda Bibi, Pradhan Hope Town Panchayat, Shri Jaydeep Dey,Zilla Parishad Member and Mr. Narayan Samity Member of Hopetown Panchayat , Shri Mustafa Head Master of Government School, Hopetown and Mr. Abdul Aziz , Pradhan, Stewartgunj Panchayat were the Guest of Hounour of the programme. In her address the Chief Guest appreciated the activities made by Nehru Yuva Kendra and APJ Abdul Kalal Youth Club and encouraging for conducting the such type of Competition and Cultural activities and united the all youths in one roof specially for the benefit of rural youths
The Chief Guest Miss Mariyam Bibi, Zilla Parishad Adhyaksha, South Andaman and other guests gave away prizes and certificates to the winner’s of Essay Competition, Quiz Competition, Musical Chair, Painting Competition, Rangoli Competition, Volley Ball and Cricket Tournament and the Cultural Teams. Earlier Shri Kundan Lal, District Youth Coordinator, NYK Port Blair welcomed the gathering and briefed about the NYKS activities and its achievements.
