Port Blair, Nov 16: As the average life span increases, people are becoming increasingly interested in quality of life, including dietary life. Dental implants are considered as one of the most common and popular treatment options for edentulous patients, and there has been remarkable advancement in the techniques and materials in the field. It is known that dental implants have many advantages such as superior masticatory efficiency and adjacent teeth preservation compared to other prosthetics; however, high cost and long treatment period remain the main limitations of dental implant therapy.
The fact that a surgical procedure is required just because of that some are hesitant, though they feel comfortable in chewing and feel confident after the procedure. Rangarajan (Prosthodontist & Implantologist) placed the implants while the Implant surgical procedure was done by Dr.Dinesh, Dental Surgeon. The second phase of treatment with component placing was done on 7/11/14 subsequently the crowns was fixed on 14/11/14 by Dr.Dinesh. Two months after restoration of the implants, patients benefited the most after Dental implant therapy included improvement in appearance, improvement in feelings of self-consciousness, and improved fit of dentures, thus benefiting the most from implant.
