Port Blair, Nov. 14: In Pursuance to the scheme of “Jan Dhan Yojana” launched by the Prime Minister of India, Mr. B.P Ray, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands while on tour to North & Middle Andaman has visited various Schools along with Mr. Manoj Kumar Lakra, Br. Manager, SBI Rangat and Smti Saraswathi Kishore, Br. Manager, SBI, Billy Ground and explained about the method of opening of Bank account and about the benefit of the scheme. The schools are Govt. Sr. Sec. School Bakuntala, Govt. Sr. Sec. School Sabari, V.K. Sec. School Rangat, Govt. Sr. Sec. School Rangat, Govt. Middle School, Padmanavapuram, Govt. Sec. School, Siva Puram, Govt. Sr. Sec. School, C.F.O Nallah and Govt. Sec. School, Nimbu Tala.
Apart from the above, the Member of Parliament along with Pradhan, Rangat Panchayat, Sr. Leaders of BJP and Local Youths have organized “ Safai Abhiyan” under the programme of Swatch Bharat Abhiyan at Rangat Bazar in the morning of 14.11.2014.
Dr. Joy, Chief Medical officer (I/C) CHC Rangat accompanied with the Member of Parliament has interacted with the student of Sec. School Nimbutala, and given awareness on hygienic impotence and environment impact under the Child health care Programme.
