Port Blair, Apr 03: Mrs. Rupa Ray, today tendered resignation from the post of Working President of Andaman and Nicobar Trinamool Congress Committee. In her resignation letter addressed to the Chairperson of All India Trinamool Congress Mrs. Rupa Ray directly held Mr. Manoranjan Bhakta, State
President, of A&N Trinamool Congress Committee responsible for her resignation, without naming him directly.
In her letter she alleged that the State President of A&NTCC did not allow him to perform her duty. Alleging many other inconsistencies in party, she mentioned that the working president has failed to make the grassroot level of TMC strong in these Islands as he mostly remains in mainland.
With the resignation of Mrs. Rupa Ray, it has become almost clear that now BPR team will have no claim on TMC, as only MRB team members are left in A & N Trinamool Congress. Re-entry of Mrs. Rupa Ray in BJP in coming days won’t be shocking news for public, many believe.
