Port Blair, Nov 03: ICAR-CIARI, Port Blair has organized the Vigilance Awareness Week from 27th October to 1st November, 2014 in a befitting manner. The program was planned and prepared under the overall guidance of Dr. S. Dam Roy, Director, CIARI. The pledge for vigilance awareness was administred by Dr. R.K. Gautam, Director Incharge and Vigilance Officer to all the Institute staff on 27-10-14. During the week long programme various events like slogan writing and painting, essay writing and debate competitions were organized by different event co-ordinators in which students from city schools and colleges and CIARI staff members participated. Invited lectures were also delivered by resource persons. Sh. G.N. Sinha (IFS), PCCF (Wild Life) & Chief Wild Life Warden, A& N Islands was the Chief Guest who delivered lecture on “ Combating corruption: Technology as an Enabler” and Dr. R.K. Gautam, Director Incharge, CIARI gave the concluding remarks during the valedictory function on 1-11-14. Dr. A.K. Singh, Senior Scientist gave details about the organized events during the week.
