Port Blair, Oct 21: The Andaman and Nicobar Police today suspended three policemen including the SHO of PS Pahargaon, Mr. Lallan Singh Yadav, the Second Officer of PS Pahargaon Mr. R K Mazumder and a police constable of the same Police Station, PC Shiva Kumar.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha Superintendent of Police (HQ) Mr. Pankaj Singh today said that the suspension orders were issued following some irregularities found in lodging a criminal case in PS Aberdeen.
According to reports available here with Andaman Sheekha these three cops had forcefully evicted one person from his place and registered wrong FIR against him, which backfired for them.
“On complaint from a resident regarding registration of a criminal case, few irregularities came to our notice and for that they have been suspended for time being. The matter is under investigation,” said SP Pankaj Singh.
Meanwhile almost all top officials of Police Department are tight lipped in this case and do not want to comment.
