Port Blair, Oct 17: The President Supply Employees Union, Kuldeep Rai Sharma met the Chief Secretary Shri Anand Prakash and has reiterated the request of giving regular appointment to 69 Temporary Status Mazdoors employed in the Directorate of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs who after serving the administration and people of these islands for more than 20 to 25 years are still awaiting for permanent employment.
Briefing details, Kuldeep has stated that with the passage of time these TSMs are attaining the age of retirement form Govt service without getting regularized and requested for early creation of posts, so that the 69 TSMs of the Directorate after serving for over 20 to 25 years are not deprived of the social and financial benefits which their regular counterpart avails on induction in government service. The Chief Secretary has given a patient hearing and assured to look into the matter.
