Port Blair, Oct 16: Congress party, Andaman & Nicobar Islands today removed encroachment from its land situated near Lighthouse. As per reports, the land was encroached a long back by someone for running a servicing center but following requests by the owner the congress party never disturbed the encroacher.
But one month back when the said encroacher set up a new shop near the servicing centre the party requested to remove the shop from the place but the encroacher refused to do so.
“Completing all the formalities from the office of Deputy Commissioner, we are demolishing this encroachment from the land, and no other party will ever support for any wrong projects or deeds,” said a top leader of Congress party in case of anonymity.
