Port Blair, Oct 13: On the occasion of 14th Command Raising Day of Andaman and Nicobar Command, an Amphibious Demonstration was conducted at Corbyn’s beach on 12 Oct 14. Students from all schools/colleges of Port Blair witnessed the demonstration. A glimpse of the co-ordinated operation undertaken by all four Components, which is the unique feature of this Command, was showcased. The demonstration included the operation at sea, air and land which constitutes the sword edge of this Command.
The Operational demonstration included the Army Troops, Air Force Helicopters and Indian Naval Ships and Aircrafts. Army troops were inserted by Gemini boats from IN Ships. Further demonstration had to be cut short due to inclement weather condition, keeping in view the safety aspect of the men and equipment.
