Port Blair, Sept 09: It is brought to the notice of general public and government departments that the availability of power will be restricted to 10 MW from 20 MW IPP Suryachakra Power Plant, due to the stopping of 01 No. DG set by M/s. Suryachakra Power Corporation Ltd. for urgent maintenance. The maintenance work will be started from 10.09.2014 onwards and expected to be complete within 04 days as intimated by M/s. Suryachakra Power Corporation Ltd.
However, the department is trying to avoid the load shedding at their level best by arranging or if required, the Electricity Department will exercise approximately 45 minutes rotational load shedding from 10.09.2014 till completion of the work from 5.30 PM to 10.00 PM in Port Blair and South Andaman area, as per the schedule given below. The schedule and duration is tentative and it many change without notice due to technical reason.
From 1730 Hrs. to 1815 Hrs. there will be power cut in Garacharma Sub-Station area, Japan Nallah, Austinabad, Prothrapur, Corbyn’s Cove, Brichgunj, Brookshabad, part of Chakkargoan, Bhatu Basti, complete, Pathergudda, Satellite Colony, New Pahargaon, Shadipur, South Point, Mazar Pahar, Machi Line, RGT Road, Govt. Press and JNRM.
From 1815 Hrs. to 1900 Hrs.
