Port Blair, 8th Sept, 2014: The A & N State Cooperative Bank Ltd. has orgainsed an Account opening campaign under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) exclusively for the students of Kendra Vidyalaya No. 1 (KV I).
At the beginning, Smt. C Raji, Principal, KV I welcomed bank officials, Faculties and students on the occasion. The programme begins with an introductory note on benefits of PMJDY by Shri. Raghubir Singh, Assistant General Manager followed by power point presentation and detailed briefing by Shri. Abhinav Pal, Assistant General Manager (IT). Shri. M K Rajan Kunju, Deputy General Manager (F & A) explained the benefits of various schemes of the bank including Suvarna Cooperative Kids RD, Recurring Deposit scheme, etc. The benefits of Account opening under PMJDY i.e. Insurance coverage, Life cover and issuance of Rupay cards was also elaborated in detail.
After the awareness session, a quiz programme on PMJDY was also conducted by the officials of the bank in which prizes were distributed to students. The Bank has set up counter to help students open their accounts.
