Port Blair, Jan 06: The President of Bharatiya Janta Party’s State Unit, Mr. R. Mohan today sent a letter to the Chief Secretary Pointing our irregularities in operation of ferry services and improvement of the same between Bambooflat and Chatham jetty.
The letter was sent to the office of Chief Secretary enclosed with a letter from the Humane Touch, written on this issue.
The president of the party highlighted the issues pending with the irregularities in boat services between Bambooflat and Chatham Jetty and also made his full attempt to draw the Chief Secretary’s attention to the inability of Andaman & Nicobar Administration to replace the latest acquired M.V. Afra bay and M.V. Karmatang, both of which are stranded at the phoenix bay jetty due to technical problems.
The president requested the Chief Secretary to appoint a committee to probe into the matter to punish those, who play with the emotions of these people and loot tax-payers’ money.
Mr. R. Mohan also urged the Chief Secretary to directly intervene into the whole matter for a speedy solution to this long pending demand and also to request the ALHW to construct a bridge between Bambooflat and Chatham sector.
