Port Blair, Aug 25: Directorate of Health Service in association with Rotary Club of Port Blair jointly conducted a CME programme on “Oral Pre-Cancerous Lesions” on 23rd August at Ayush Hospital, Conference hall.
Introductory speech about SRM Dental College & Hospital, Chennai was given Prof. Dr.K.Ravi, Dean, and Head of Department of Orthodontia. Prof. Dr.K. Rajkumar, Vice-Principal, Head of Department of Oral Pathology, SRM Dental College & Hospital, spoke on “Significance and Pathogenesis of Oral Sub Mucous Fibrosis” a precancerous condition and Prof. Dr. Krishna Kumar Raja, Head, Department of Oral Surgery, SRM Dental College & Hospital delivered a power point presentation on “Surgical Management of OSMF(Oral Sub Mucous Fibrosis)”.
Dr.R.Ramya, Reader, Department of Oral pathology, SRM Dental College & Hospital. Presented a power point presentation on “Rationale behind collecting Saliva, Serum & Biopsy samples & importance of follow-up”.
The following speakers were given memento by Rotary Club of Port Blair and certificate of appreciation from Directorate of Health Services. Dr. S. K Paul, Director of Health Service graced the occasion.
General Physicians, Dental Surgeons, Specialists from G.B Pant Hospital and Private Dental Surgeons and Doctors of Ayush Hospital(Homeopathy and Ayurvedic) attended the CME programme with an interactive session.
