Port Blair, Aug 24: NSS, MGGC organized one day Orientation programme for the NSS Volunteers in the Conference Hall on 23.08.2014 at 10.30AM. 68 NSS Volunteers of different streams including 1st and 2nd year enrolled NSS Volunteers are participated in the programme. Dr. R V R Murthy, NSS Programme Officer, MGGC, Mayabunder welcomed the gathering and dwelt upon the length of NSS objectives, Activities ( Regular and Special) and other things which are undertaken under the NSS Scheme. He also elaborated in details about the NSS Scheme and the contribution of NSS Volunteers across the country for the well being of mankind. Dr. R. N. Rath, Principal, MGGC, Chief Guest on the occasion, also addressed the gathering and motivated the NSS Volunteers to undertake the NSS activities in an around North and Middle Andaman District. Further he elaborated the role of youth in the nation-building and character making. NSS volunteers have shown keen interest and taken active part in the form of interaction.
