Port Blair, Aug 21: Body of Zubair Ali @ Raja, who had jumped into the pond of Gandhi Park yesterday night was recovered by divers of Police Marine Force at around 11.00 PM.
According to reports following some family issue Zubair, 27 years, left his house and jumped into the Pond of Gandhi Park yesterday night. His brother Sharukh, who was following him saw Zubair struggling inside deep water, when he reached inside Gandhi Park. By the time he could react Zubair had already drowned. When the matter was reported to Police the police department immediately acted and deployed PMF team, which brought out the body from the pond in no time.
